15-7 & 17-4 PH Stainless Steel Fasteners
Stainless Steel 17-4PH is durable and ideal for applications requiring a modest level of corrosion resistance.
18.8 (304) Stainless Steel
This grade of stainless steel is slightly magnetic, is somewhat corrosion resistant, and contains approximately 18% chromium and 8% nickel. 18.8 is the most common form of stainless steel used in hardware.
316 Stainless Steel
This stainless steel is highly corrosion-resistant, making it ideal for salt water and chlorine environments. The material content of 316 stainless steel includes 18% chromium, 8% nickel, and 2-3% molybdenum. This grade of stainless steel is more expensive than 18.8.
Aluminum
Aluminum fasteners are lightweight (about 1/3 the weight of stainless) and corrosion-resistant. Because aluminum’s corrosion resistance is inherent to the material, scratches to the surface of aluminum fasteners will not affect the corrosion resistance.
Brass
Brass consists of copper and zinc, and offers a high level of corrosion resistance. Because brass is soft, it is ideal for applications that do not require high levels of strength. Brass is also electrically conductive, allowing for use in electrical applications.
Hastelloy
Hastelloy is a nickel alloy with a high level of corrosion resistance in a range of corrosive media. Hastelloy is ideal for welding, and is resistant to pitting, oxidation and corrosion cracking.
Inconel
Inconel is an alloy designed to resist pitting and crevice corrosion. It is a good choice for pollution control and chemical processing equipment.
Monel
Monel is an alloy manufactured to resist chemical corrosion, saltwater environments, and hydrochloric acidic environments. Monel is often used in marine and chemical processing applications.
Nickel
Nickel is corrosion-resistant and is often used as a coating for other materials. Our nickel fasteners are solid nickel 200.
Silicon Bronze 651
Silicon Bronze is nonmagnetic, thermally conductive, and provides increased corrosion resistance when compared to brass. Silicon Bronze is ideal for electrical applications.
Titanium
Titanium is an extremely strong, lightweight (about ½ the weight of stainless), and corrosion-resistant alloy. Titanium is ideal for aircraft, racing vehicles, and chlorine applications.
