Inconel 625 is an austenitic, nickel-based super alloy. The high content of molybdenum and niobium reinforces the chromium – nickel matrix of the Alloy 625 Hex Bolts. In addition to this, adding these two elements in the Alloy 625 Bolts eliminates the need for precipitation-hardening treatments as the Inconel 625 Bolts impart a stiffening effect.
As the Inconel 625 Hex Bolt is solid solution strengthened, these fasteners are able to retain their increased toughness as well as their high strength at cryogenic temperatures up to an elevated temperature of 1,800°F (982°C). Alloy 625 Bolts are non-magnetic in nature and have good braze ability & good fabricability properties.
The four main industries that use the Inconel 625 Hex Bolts in their applications include Marine, Chemical Processing, Aerospace and Nuclear. The applications of the Alloy 625 Fasteners in these four markets include – chemical process equipment handling mixed acids both oxidizing and reducing, flue gas desulfurization scrubbers, evaporators for wet- process phosphoric acid containing H2SO4, hf and ferric salts.
