Hastelloy C-276 alloy is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium wrought alloy that is generally considered a versatile corrosion-resistant alloy. C-276 is an improved wrought version of alloy C in that it usually doesn’t need to be solution heat-treated after welding and has vastly improved fabricability. Hastelloy C-276 contained slightly more chromium and molybdenum than alloy C.

Hastelloy® Fastener products are manufactured from a nickel-molybdenum-chromium mixture that provides enhanced corrosion resistance and strength characteristics.

Hastelloy C-276 alloy is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium wrought alloy that is extremely versatile material that has found usage in a wide variety of severe environments. It has shown a corrosion resistance to chloride containing media, organic acids, oxidizing media, reducing acids, seawater and brine, and sulfuric flue gasses. The price of this alloy is higher compared to austenitic stainless due to the higher nickel, molybdenum and tungsten content. By far, it is the most popular super alloy.

The Hastelloy C-276 hex bolts and spring-lock washers belong to the range which is combined of molybdenum, nickel and chromium, and thus, it is considered as the most versatile corrosion resistant alloy. Corrosion Resistance:
Hastelloy C-276 is a Nickel-Molybdenum-Chromium alloy with the addition of Tungsten, has excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of corrosive media and is especially resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion. Very good resistance to reducing, and mildly oxidizing corrosives.
